The founders of Regent Renewables have always been passionate about climate change, but being IT experts, there was very little impact that we could make professionally. We could not design and deploy solar farms or wind farms, or any other type of renewable energy technology for that matter. This was very frustrating.  

A few years ago, we decided to see if there was a technological solution that could be developed to help fight climate change in some way. Numerous ideas were discussed and subsequently developed, but they all seemed to fall short of something remarkable, something that could make a real impact.  

After attending a Solar project financing course, taught by industry stalwart Christopher Lord – and realizing just how complicated and time-consuming solar project financing could be, the idea was born to create a technological solution to a very old problem: Renewable Energy Infrastructure Finance.  

Using our expertise in designing complex technological solutions, we set out to create the world’s first Blockchain-based solar financing and ownership platform, that makes use of US renewable energy tax credits and digital share ownership of the solar projects.
